Always fond of art growing up and after successfully completing AP art courses in high school, Alexandra went on to study painting at Syracuse University. It was there that her art began to grow and evolve. While there, Alexandra decided to focus on the design field, switching from painting to interior design. By the end of her first semester in her new design field, Alexandra was already winning contests and finding herself as a designer.

After graduating in 2008 with a B.F.A. in Interior Design, Alexandra spent the next two years working for various companies between New York City and Long Island, before enrolling at Adelphi University for her Masters in Art Education. She immersed herself once again into the world of fine arts and was attempting forms of art that she had never tried before. Over the next two years, her art developed and grew even further.

Alexandra now considers herself a mixed media artist. She uses whatever mediums and materials she feels are necessary for each individual piece she creates. She prefers her subject matter to focus on portraiture and nature. Her work is constantly evolving and reinventing itself.

It is now her desire as an art educator to bring her knowledge and love of the arts to students of all ages. Alexandra’s two years of experience in the interior design field has proven to be an invaluable resource that has taught her many skills that allow her to provide students with opportunities to reach their fullest potential.

“Alexandra is motivated and dedicated to creating a safe learning environment that promotes exploration and creativity.”
